A few weeks ago I was contacted by Mountain Rose Herbs and asked to test out a few of their Epicurean Organics products and try out a couple of recipes to see what I thought.
Umm…. yes please!
I love the products from MRH and have purchased many, if not most, of my herbs and spices from them for the last five years or so. I’m always pleased with the quality products they offer and usually stock up twice a year. Though I had not yet tried products from their Epicurean Organics Collection.

I was sent the following products to review:
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Hemp seed oil
- Black Lava Salt (so cool!)
- Himalayan Pink Salt
- Lemon pepper seasoning
- Italian seasoning
My mission was to make herb infuse oils for dipping bread in to. Such an easy thing to do and a great party or pre-dinner food!
Except I failed miserably when I made the bread. Of course I thought it would be a great time to test out something new with our gluten-free bread we make occasionally…and it was a huge fail.
Luckily for me it still had good taste and texture, even if it did completely fall and look like the worst loaf of bread ever.
I ended up using the Olive Oil with Himalayan Pink Salt and Italian Seasoning and the Hemp Seed Oil with Lemon Pepper and Black Lava Salt. (the latter was my favorite!) I went by taste, but used about 1/4 cup of oil, one teaspoon of salt, and one tablespoon of seasoning.
As always, I’m impressed with their quality products. Everything tasted as it should when you use quality, fresh herbs. But more than that I respect how they purchase these ingredients. And I love to support companies who do things right.
(I usually buy my fertility tea and elderberry syrup herbs from them along with my favorite pantry staples.)
Hi! I entered! I like your website and your book very much, but I didn’t like naturally knocked up on Facebook, because I thought there might be questions if we were trying to have a baby. But I really do like naturallyknockedup.com!!
@Kristie, LOL. I get that a lot! I’ve thought of starting an incognito facebook page just for that reason. ๐ Or if FB allowed us to change the names of our pages I might just have it as my name instead of the blog name. Maybe one day they’ll give us that option…….
Hello, I would like to enter for the giveaway!! I can not like you on Facebook because we do not have a Facebook account, however I do visit your web site quite often. My husband and I are trying to get “Naturally knocked up”!!! Thank you!!!
I love learning about taking back my health through you blog and through products at MRH!! My kids LOVE the tummy soothers. Would love to be able to receive the gift certificate!! ๐
I love your recipes and am hoping to try the gluten free bread with the seasoned oils. I try to provide cheap raw food ideas, and odd remedies on my website, but I love to try your tasty dishes. I shared your gluten free cookies on my you tube, and everyone raved about it.
I’ve heard about their products for quite some time now…and I think I will go to their website and order some fertility tea along with some spices!!! ๐ Thank you for the review!!! Their products sound fantastic.
