Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown rice flour
  • 1/2 cup tapioca starch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup butter softened
  • 4 cups apples peeled and sliced

Instructions

  • Grease an 8-inch baking dish and preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Stir together dry ingredients in a large bowl. 
  • With a fork, work egg and softened butter the into flour mixture and set aside.
  • Peel and thinly slice apples.
  • Place apples in greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the flour mixture over the apples.
  • Bake for around 45 minutes, until the top is a golden brown.
  • Serve warm (With ice cream!)

Notes

Regular version - simply use all-purpose flour instead of brown rice flour and tapioca starch.
