Living a healthy lifestyle is easy….once you figure out where to find the information you need! So here is a list of natural fertility resources I routinely use and recommend.
Supplements for fertility
(With prenatal or multi vitamins, please make sure you purchase one with folate or methyl folate, NOT folic acid. Not every site I’ve listed here follows those guidelines, but they are listed because of other items they provide.)
Natural Fertility Shop – Herbal remedies and supplements for healthy fertility.
Seeking Health – Vitamins and prenatals containing methyl B vitamins (specifically methyl folate)
Thorne Research Basic Prenatal – prenatal with folate instead of folic acid)
Beeyoutiful – Boost your health by checking out the herbal supplements and nutritional supplements as well as an all-natural progesterone cream. I’ve also used their liquid prenatal (which has folate!) as well as their liquid folate.
Trilight Health – Offering liquid herbal formulas.
FairHaven Health – supplements, basal thermometers, and test strips among other items.
iHerb – Herbs, vitamins, and skin care – they carry a lot of different products! I tend to stick to the loose herbs versus the capsules when I buy herbs. (new customers can save $10 off a $40 order by using this link –> http://www.iherb.com/?rcode=REJ007)
Books for fertility (and dealing with infertility/loss)
Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler – THE best book to read to learn about how the female cycle functions, how to chart your cycle, as well as ideas on how to fix some issues. This is definitely one of the books I recommend the most!
Feed Your Fertility by Emily Bartlett and Laura Erlich
Naturally Knocked Up by Donielle Baker – my first book, this one covers the importance of a healthy fertility diet as well as natural living techniques.
Cleansing for Conception by Donielle Baker – Cleansing is tricky! Make sure to work with your body gently before trying to conceive. I talk about multiple ways to help the body’s natural detoxification system.
Making Babies by Shoshanna Easling – This is a fun book with tons of great herbal information as well as recipes that are perfect for everyone, but especially for the woman trying to conceive and during pregnancy. The beautiful photography is an added bonus!
Hormone Reset Diet by Dr. Sara Gottfried
Period Repair Manual: Natural Treatment for Better Hormones and Better Periods by Lara Briden ND – This book has become the book I recommend the most! It’s full of fantastic information, from figuring out what the issue is to how to fix the root cause. Every woman should read this one!
Woman Code by Alisa Vitti
Making Super Sperm: Overcome Male Factor Infertility, Prevent Miscarriage and Make Super Healthy Babies, Naturally by Bridgit Danner LAc

Lab tests
Direct Labs – order your own lab tests.

Hair Analysis – Hair mineral analysis testing is an excellent method for assessing, monitoring and guiding the correction and improvement of one’s body chemistry.
Beauty/Hygiene Products:
Skin Deep – An awesome database by the Environmental Working Group to search cosmetic products for chemicals, etc. Gives a listing of the most and least toxic products so you can check the ones you use!
MadeOn Lotion– Renee hand makes a hard lotion bar with only 3 ingredients, all healthy for your skin! And most importantly, she has a chocolate scented lotion bar as well. She also sells hair butter and lip balm.
Beeyoutiful – They offer mineral makeup and natural skin care.
Herbs and essential oils
Mountain Rose Herbs – The supplier for most of the herbs and spices I’ve purchased over the last few years. This is definitely a company I recommend as every purchase I’ve made has come quickly, been fresh and of great quality. I normally make 2 purchases throughout the year to get the bulk discounts and save on shipping. They also offer great discounts when buying a single herb in bulk – great to share with family and friends!

Plant Therapy – Quality essential oils and aromatherapy supplies.
Trilight Health – Offering liquid herbal formulas that are great to have on hand when illness strikes. They also offer a herbal formula meant to specifically help with hormone imbalance.
Online teaching resources
GNOWFGLINS – Learn how to prepare traditional, whole foods.
Real food:
For resources in West MI, check out Grand Rapids Natural Living
Tropical Traditions – Offering coconut oil and baking supplies (organic sugars and flours) as well as other natural foods and beauty products. I love their coconut oil (which many times you can get great deals on if you watch their sales!), use the cocoa and dried milk for making homemade hot cocoa, and bulk grains.
U.S. Wellness Meats – Have a hard time finding good quality, grass-fed meats? I’ve met and talked with the folks from U.S. Wellness Meats and have also tried many of their products.
Cultures for Health – Where I buy my cultures for yogurt, dairy and water kefir, kombucha scoby, and buttermilk starter. They also sell sourdough starters and much more! I also love the customer service from Julie!
Vital Choice – An online supplier of quality seafood and wild salmon.
Finding local food in your area:
Local Harvest – A great site to find farmers markets and CSA’s near you.
Real Milk – A great site on the hows and whys of drinking raw milk. They also have a search feature to find a local source for raw milk.
Eat Wild – A great site all about healthy meats with a search feature to find your own local source.
Azure Standard – I’ve never ordered from them, but know a lot of folks who do. They sell bulk natural foods.
