Since learning about using herbs for healing the body, I love being able to pull the concoctions and salves out of my cupboard, knowing I can help my family feel better. I’m still in the early learning phase though and very much rely on books and websites to guide me through the recipes and techniques.
My friend Michele, of Frugal Granola (of which I’m an affiliate), is one of those that I rely on to offer me solid herbal information and I love having her book Herbal Nurturing at my disposal. She was one of the very first bloggers I had connected with and it’s been fun and inspiring to see what she comes up with over the last 5 years or so.
Because she has been so helpful to me in my herbal journey, I thought I’d also quick let you know that she recently released a brand new herbal pocket guide, Herbal Adventures*. (ebook)
This current installment focuses on some of the more seasonal concerns, which you may encounter on a short-term basis. Issues like:
- burns, (a weekly occurrence in my kitchen…)
- nausea,
- scrapes,
- bugs,
- stings,
- poison ivy, (I swear I get this just be being in the same vicinity!)
- nosebleeds,
- food poisoning,
- insomnia,
- fungal infections, and more.
I spent last week looking over my preview copy and started making a list of new to me herbs I want to keep on hand. Then I got to the end and realized that she had already included a supply list! It’s awesome to have all of the herbs and remedy ingredients she suggests all in one place, easily printed as well. I have a few of them on my to-make list once my herb and essential order comes in a couple of weeks!
Michele is also offering all of my readers 25% off Herbal Adventures when you use the code: BEWELL25 (expires 8/12 11:59pm)
This makes the guide only $4.90!
If you’re looking for a great start into making your own remedies, this ebook is for you!
