A few months ago I was contacted by Allison, of Health the Essential Way, a doTerra consultant, about doing a review and giveaway. Now, with doTerra being a multi-level marketing company, I did take a bit of extra time interviewing her, making sure that any rep I promote to my readers isn’t going to be spammy or pushy. I wanted to make sure that I was recommending a knowledgeable consultant that desires to help and educate, not push people to buy what they may not need.
And I found that in Allison, so I’m more than happy to recommend her to work with.
I also know that there is a lot of controversy out there right now with essential oils. Let’s not get in to that, mmmkay? Because while we could debate all day long about the quality of oils, one of the reasons I would choose to work with a consultant is because of personalized service. Have a question? Call a consultant? Unsure how to use a specific oil? Call a consultant. Need to ask someone what oils would be best to have on hand or to start your essential oil medicine kit? Call a consultant.
It’s as easy as that for me when a person might ask why certain brands of oil are more expensive than others. Quality aside, you get personalized service, and I was also sent a guide on how to use the oils for different ailments so that there was no guessing as I worked to find natural solutions to my family’s health concerns.
I was sent a handful of oils to review, and it seemed very fitting that I had quite a doozy of a headache the day I received them. Right away I opened up my guide and found that the peppermint she sent could be used, and it even told me the six different points on which to apply it (I had normally only used two!). I quickly grabbed some carrier oil (I’m not a fan of using oils neat unless I have to – and I’ve always found that I get great results using them with a carrier oil) and applied the oil. Those extra application points really made a difference! A few hours later I reapplied and my headache never came back.
A couple other oils she sent stood out to me a bit:
Clary Sage – Salvia sclarea
Known for its uplifting and mood-lightening attributes, clary sage is also widely used by women to soothe monthly discomfort associated with their menstrual cycles. It was also studied by noted expert Robert Tisserand for its mood-enhancing properties during massage. (source – doTerra)
Solace - Monthly Blend for Women (now called ClaryCalm)
Solace is a proprietary blend of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils that have been traditionally used to balance hormones and manage symptoms of PMS and the transitional phases of menopause. Solace is a topical blend of clary sage, lavender, bergamot, Roman chamomile, cedarwood, ylang ylang, geranium, fennel, carrot seed, palmarosa and vitex that provides temporary respite from cramps, nausea, hot flashes, and the emotional swings sometimes associated with regular hormone cycles in women. (source – doTerra)
The Solace oil smells divine, and I love that it also has bergamot, an oil that was recommended to me by another friend as helpful in dealing with adrenal fatigue. (the scent may help to relax a person)
Allison mentioned this one to me as well, as they use it often with women who deal with hormone imbalance and infertility. For that reason, she wants to giveaway one bottle of Solace to one of my readers! (a value of $32.67)
Oh, but before we get to the giveaway, I also wanted to mention that she’s doing a FREE webinar all about fertility and essential oils.
Up to 28% of couples struggle with infertility. Modern medicine offers invasive procedures and medications with long lists of side effects.
